12th Dream

Thoughts race and fly like a hummingbird

souls live and die unheard

I went walking through a daydream

I was king and you were my queen

the sky started talking through a rainstorm

I was alive and you were reborn

Feels like you and I we're coming out of the fog

seems like we're rising to the sky like a sun dog

Hyms wail and drift on by like gods word

sins sift away and die in the dark dirt

I went crawling through a nightmare

songs were dead and you weren't anywhere

I was buried six feet under

you and I, we were torn asunder

Felt like I was running toward the light

going into a land where there is no night

I awoke frozen in a cold sweat

thinking about what I did with deep regret

As we sat by the mountain stream

we were in between love and a dream

as long as we connect in a glance

we'll ride the wind and dance the dance
